star struck???

funny how people can perceive things.

tonight I attended an event at st. james infirmary.  Kal Penn arrived to Reno to speak on the behalf of how important it is to volunteer, and get involved in the voting process. in this case with the obama campaign.

I will say that my time and effort is not going to be spent knocking on doors.  I will however say that my love and time is online, and I only share what I feel is important, necessary, and inspiring.  Take it or leave it.  

Tonight, after I had a “partner in crime” help me detour the “non photography policy” that sometimes falls with these kind of event, we take a photo, and we had a mini celebration after the event took place………a girl mentioned to me.

she commented on the fact that she couldn’t believe how I was so star struck.  whoah!!!!!!!  I giggled to myself.  I informed her, that while I did not believe in being “star struck” it was more like appreciating and respecting peoples spaces.  Above all we are human.  This is what is highly important to me.   I know from just the little bits of people who ALWAYS are invading my space wherever I might be, I respect that we all have boundaries, and it’s more important to be considerate and take the time to be polite.  I know we all represent different thoughts.  no harm done.  I just think it’s important to know that the reason is sometimes not what we first perceive.

yes, do I have a little private giggle that I share something in common with a “celebrity”…..sure we both “jacked off” a bulldog while doing our “job”.  seems like a worthy photo to me.

but in actuality, I feel it’s important to stand for things that we believe in.  I know of a lot of people who don’t vote, I use to be one of these people.  And I do believe it’s important to share our belief process and reach out to others to get involved.  The learning process is essential to the quality and long term endurance of our lives.

I don’t think these candidates are “perfect”.  It’s something we strive for in our individual lives, but I do agree that it’s hard to maintain perfect according to everybody’s level of their journeys they are currently on.  Do I sound confusing.  well then ask me to clarify anything.  I don’t mind starting dialogues and conversations.  we have one going on in our forum currently on bohocrush.  I believe in this process, and the sharing of diverse perspectives.  I’m willing to listen, are you?

if I can help inspire those of you who have not considered or offered time to voting, to spend a little time and vote, then I feel it’s a great thing to share.  It’s an important idea to share.
